Update #2: Previews


A few different projects coming soon.

Among them are:

-a recounting and reflection on a story about my chance meeting of someone at a train station who really needed some compassion

-a perspective paper on the Federal Reserve (essentially attempting to examine and critique claims that the Fed is evil)

-any variety of research compendiums on interesting topics I find!

Five favorite photocaptures of humans, 2024-25

Selecting five of my favorite shots of people I've taken. After picking these, I took a look at them and realized a few things: First, they are all portraits with heavy emphasis on the environment or surroundings of the subject. I like to use the surroundings of a photo to capture something about who the subject is. Joe's First Idea: Make a Blog

Happy Day of The Week, Stranger! I don't know how you found this sorry corner of the internet, but as your browse I hope you'll be intrigued by the ideas, reports, updates and experiments found herein. My main intent in creating this blog is to give myself a space to write and post projects. By projects I mean, well, pretty much anything. The first project I'll post is my brief article on mass shooters. I wrote it for a community college English 101 course, but it was more than a compulsory assignment -- I'm quite fascinated with school shooters, tragedies, the human condition, etc. It was a blast to gather research and compose some original thoughts on the subject for the paper.
